Hi My Name is Regina and I have gone through chemo, and had a bilateral mastectomy on April 3rd. I am waiting to start my radiation in June and July. But I am experiencing body aches everyday for the last couple of weeks. Has anyone gone through this kind of experience after chemo and surgery. I am 46 years old and I know it isn't from old age because it is a different kind of ache in my bones and all over. If someone could let me know what to do. I left a message for my onocologist and get to go and see him next wednesday but I wanted to see if any of you had the same problem.
Thank You
Regina

Terrie Hi My name is Terrie and am a year out of chemo and radiation. I still take Femara and have constant back and joint pain. Does anyone else have these symptoms. When does the pain stop and quality of life come back? I still feel weak and want to go back to my old life style because I have a 3 year old grandson who wears me out. I want to chase after him and play more but the pain starts when I wake up and continues through out the day. I joined an outdoor pool club for the summer and hope it will get me back into the swing of life. I was always an active person and try to walk some to get strength back. Does anyone have any suggestions on how not to give into this pain? If so please let me know. Thank You Terrie
It is definitely a side effect of chemo. I'm 42 and there were days when I felt like I was 90. I've been done with chemo for five months, and I would say the aches continued for about a month afterwards. I hope you Oncologist can give you some relief. Love and support. Congrats on getting thru the toughest part of treatment. The body aches are a side effect of the chemo. they do go away, it might be months or a year...Take care of yourself....
