Hello from Maine

by Pam_Maine on 8/15/2007 at 7:08 am in Survivors
I was diagnosed as stage four in 2005. I feel I have a very good attitude and a healthy sense of humor. Laughter will get you through some very hard times. I believe you have to keep living your life no matter what. I have been on many different chemo drugs over the last two years. I am currently taking Zometa, monthly, Arimidex, daily, Tykerb, daily, and Xeloda daily for two weeks and then one week free. I am in college full time, have three kids, one who lives with me part time, one in the Air Force in Florida, and one who is a carpenter. I have one pet peeve. People who tell me "You are so strong, I couldn't do what you do" BULL We all do what we have to do when we come face to face with cancer. The only other option is to give up and die. I for one am not ready to die. I have to much left to do.

Good point. When faced with adversity, what choice do people have?
