Eye Soar!

by Adriana on 2/20/2008 at 3:42 pm in Tell Your Story
Well, I saw myself in the mirror for the 1st time, my bandages were falling off so I just took a very deep breath and took them off. What a sight that was!:(, I was a little emotional, but also glad that I will no longer ever have to worry about any kind of breast cancer reoccurrance. Now I guess I have to take one day at a time and of course time heals all wounds, right? I think I handled it alot better than I thought I would, very proud of myself:)

will be having bilateral mastectomy on the 26th....am right there with you...I also finished chemo at the end of January. That in itself is cause to celebrate! I don't know about you, but that was so hard. Five months of pure hell. I do feel the same way as you not having to worry about having a reoccurance... AND NO MORE MAMMOGRAMS! I'm sure it will be hard in the beginning, but like you said, one day at a time. Hope I handle it as well as you. Lots of luck to you and if you could give me any suggestions, please feel free. Hope you had good results from pathology. and you should be very proud of yourself!!!

You can be proud of yourself! Keep on patting yourself on the back, knowing you pulled through this and are a survivor.
