The process thus far...

May 7th, 2008...7 weeks after surgery. Life was a complete blurrrr for the past 7 weeks. Lots of thoughts going through my head..when coherant! I survived the worst of the pain and am healing with no glitches.....Mike and Elisa took wonderful care of me, and friends came round to help too. The expansion process takes forever! Weekly visits, pain and hardness after...to only yet again add more pain and hardness the very next week!!! I felt like a huge burden for awhile, being so needy, but I was also determined to get through this, and quickly! After all I have things to do, places to go, experiences to enjoy...LIFE is good! I am here.....

Congrats on your healing process "thus far"! It's nice to hear there are gilmmers of light at the end of the tunnel, even when you're still a work in process. I'm going in for my single a week from today, having the expander put in right away, and I'm so petrified about those first weeks after surgery (not knowing how the heck I'm going to be there for my babies is the worst part), but reading your post gave me a boost of confidence that I will indeed get thru it. Thanks!!! You go girl!!! :D

It is great to hear that you are healing well. And you are right to think about things that you are going to do after this dang thing is done. Hope everything goes according to plan. Keep all posted.

I will be doing the expander as well can u tell me how much they were able to stretch your skin out? ive got an apointment with reconstuction on june 2 i have one boob and it is a 38d i know they can not get me out that big so will have to have this one left reduced but very curious how much they can expand thanks love and support Wanda
