i was wondering would anyone have any idea why my diagnosis is taking sooooo long. i feel like thes breast doctor is just telling me that fibros are normal and nipple discharge is normal and that fibros get bigger over time and telling me that cancer is very rare in young women and that she wants to take it a week at a time hoping i would probably give up or something. i feel like she is blowing me of kinda because of my age!!!! i may only be 23 but i feel there is something really wrong! i am still waiting for the pathology report on the cyst they removed on my overy 9 days ago. i havent heard from the ob doc that did that and cant seem to get a hold of him the doctor is at the evens community hospital here on fort carson and i have never had this hard of a time getting a hold of a doctor!!! i am not only frustrated but i am also scared now that the bc thing is taking so long and that i cant get a hold of the one doctor that can tell me if i have anything wrong with my overies cancer or what ever is causing the cyst! i continue to get more and more angery by the day and frustration just seems to build up and i am taking it out on my husband who is in iraq at the moment. i had a redcross sent out to him and the breast doc had requested his presants/for him to come home. the doc that did my cyst removal 9 days ago said he didnt need to come home. but the army community service that took care of my 4 kids for a week said he needed to come home and also the nurse the army had provided me to take care of me during my recovery request him to come home as well and his chain of command said all that stuff is not terms for emergency leave the best they can do is send him home for 18 days starting on april 16th. i hate the army i hate the doctors i swear i have been poked and proded over 20 times and they still have made no progress they keep doing the same test over and over again and they still have not done a biopsy!!!! does anyone here know what the crap is going on or is it just me feeling like everything is going wrong or taking forever to get figured out!! with much love and support, god bless, kristan

I know you may not feel up to it physically or mentally-but keep pushing! they owe you answers. There is no reason someone can't get back to you, if not to ease your mind, to assure you they are still working on getting your results together and you haven't been forgotten. I know Army med care isn't the greatest-have you considered reaching out to a local women's health center? Just a thought. Keep me posted-I'll be praying for you and your familly.

I ask this because if there is, then there is something to biopsy.
At your age, you have a 1 in 2,225 or so chance of having breast cancer.
It is probably not cancer.
REALLY.
That being said...if it is cancer...if you are the one in 2000+...then, you definitely need the biopsy.

On this other website, there are a FEW (a very few) young women who have been diagnosed at your very young age...but, it's not likely.
