I was reading some info online and i found that there is a surgery that can spear your skin so they can do reconstruction a little better for you. Has anyone had this surgery? Did it work? Im just trying to figure out my options before surgery.. I've called my surgeon but he still hasn't called me back yet with an answer.. If they do use the surgery will i still have feeling on my breast or will it still be gone?

It made it difficult for the PS to do skin sparing, but he did keep my incision line running what would be below the nipple. It is low enough to wear low cut tops if I so choose.
the PS and BC surgeon worked together in the operating room and talked over what would work for each. I think that helps tremendously. My right breast is a 36 full c, so to match my ps had his work cut out. Surgery was in OCT 07 and the scar is fadeing nice. Good luck and best wishes

LauraHey there. I had skin sparing mastectomy. My affected breast too. I was large breasted so that made it easy. I have the expanders in now and go for my fill in 2 weeks. My scars look wonderful. One scar is not across my breast, it is very low under, like the crease...which irritates me a little while I am healing and then I have a small t- from there. I have the skin to the sides, under my armpits that will stretch out from there. A good plastic surgeon will do that if he can, but you probably should go over it with him first. I did, because of research that I found. The surgeon and Your Plastic Surgeon have to work together. Hope this helped. Laura
