My mom's test results
on 7/12/2007 at 10:16 am in
GeneralWell, we went to the doctor Monday afternoon to get my mom's test results. Ihad talked to her nurse last week and she told me she didn't want to tell me anything over the ohone because "there is a lot in there and I don't want to stress you out." Stress me out?!?!?! She told me that it was pretty much everything we had talked about at her first consultation with her oncologist. Well that was the lungs, liver, bone, brain, everything! The last week has been absolute torture for our family. My mom and I have had discussions that we were not ready to have because we thought the worst was ging to come out of the doctor's mouth on Monday. So we are sitting in the office, about to throw up when the oncologist comes in and starts going over everything. All of her tests came back CLEAR! CLEAR! I think we both almost fainted. The onlt thing that she has to be concerned with is a small area in one of her lungs that they want to closely monitor. Couldn't say if it was cancer or not. Why would his nurse put us through that for no reason. I was so pissed! But thank God that they all came back clear. We found out she has a tumor the size of a baseball under her shoulderbald where the cancer has spread under her arm and around to her back, and her chest wall in consumed wheich we knew. So after that, we rushed over to the hospital and she had her first chemo treatment. We were there for 6 hours. It was brutal, but she is doing fune. No nausea, just alittle tired and this morning she woke up with her cancer areas feeling sore. Wow what a great release this is! To be bale to write about it all like this is very calming to me. So thanks!

It seems you and I have similar stories. My mother been diagnose with bc IV. It has spread to her spine and pelvis. She already had a simple mas. However, after chemo she will need another surgery to remove her Lymph nods. I am so scared for her. We are living a nightmare… MaRy
