About Me

My wonderful husband and I have one son and one daughter, 4 grandsons and one adorable little granddaughter. We live in NW Ohio.

I was diagnosed with Stage 3, Grade 3, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma on 31 July 2007. There was a 5.1cm tumor in my right breast and 5+ involved lymph nodes. Due to the agressive type of cancer I did 6 months of chemo before my bilateral mastectomy on 14 March 2008. The results of the pathology report after my surgery was good - the cancer was gone. I had responded very well to the chemo. Radiation is my next treatment and will begin in a couple of weeks. Reconstruction will follow this fall.
