Happy Thanksgiving to ALL on NBCF

on 11/19/2007 at 4:27 pm in General
A very Happy Thanksgiving to all my supporter friends. I don't know how I would have gotten threw these first months of BC without the love and support. I am thankful that I am still in this world to enjoy my family. I think this week I will be eating chicken soup and popsicles instead of Turkey , But the Turkey is better leftover anyway!!!!
Gobble..Gobble .....p.s I lost 6 lbs this week so I get to eat anything I want!!!
Love....Cathie

You are so right about friends and family support. I am so thankful in so many ways this year (even though my breast looks like I have leoprsy right now from the radiation). Cathie you crack me up. You definitely have a positive outlook and I say start with dessert first. I am heading to the beach for the holiday and looking forward to it. Happy Thanksgiving to all my NCBF friends.

Back atcha sweetie! I have been thinking about all the things that I have and that I am very thankful for...after my scare this year I have learned alot!! first of all never take anything (or anyone) for granted because we are not promised tomorrow! I have learned to look around and make time for things like looking at the moon, watching the sunrise, gazing in my hubby's eyes for no reason at all, look at homework as a time I spend with my children not just homework and to truely breathe life in!! Most of us let the everyday rush rule us ( I know I did) and we don't make time to enjoy life's little things!! I have 6 beautiful children and my youngest just started walking a few weeks ago (without holding on to anything) and when I seen her take those first few steps without holding on I had tears running down my face for both joy and for sorrow because she's growing up so fast!! I was so proud and happy that she has reached another milestone but she's just growing up so fast that I realized that she is starting to gain her own independence and she is no longer that little helpless infant who relied solely on me for her every need. All too soon she will be starting that first day of kindergarten! So please take a moment at Thanksgiving this year to reflect on your life and give thanks for everything you have because we all have taken life for granted at some point and put off important things because of the day to day rush and we need to slow it down and really breathe in because no one lives forever and these days we have are borrowed and not promised. I am thankful for the beautiful children, wonderful husband and my loving mother that God has blessed me with as well as my health and the health of my family and I could just go on and on with all the blessings in my life. I also want to say that I have taken for granted that my hubby would always be there so there really was no hurry to appologize for an arguement we have had (no matter who's at fault) but after my scare and my reflection on my life I see things quite differently now. So we all have so much to be thankful for...even on those bad days that we wish would just go away!!! Have a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving to all and I wish everyone well with a joyous and loving holiday season!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. WE do have so much to be THANKFUL FOR. So grateful that you can look at the positive in your life and reflect back and enjoy. You will continue to be in my prayers.
