I'm not sure if anyone still responds to this discussion, becuase its been so long since i have logged back in, but i want to thank all of you for taking the time out and reading about our situation. The past months were just so difficult for my mom and our family, my mom lost her life to IBC March 6, 2008. I dont know what we are going to do without her. But i pray that no one, not even my worst enemy, go through what my mom had to go through. God bless you all and all people out there batteling with cancer.

When I went to a breast cancer conference in Washington DC last year, I sat next to and spoke at length with a 28 year IBC survivor. SHe actually had it twice but the last time was 28 years ago. She is a strong exuberant woman very active in a support group in West NJ near philly. I know it's a very difficult diagnosis but not without hope either!
Her doctors do need to be aggressive and if one chemo doesn't work, they need to switch to another.

I'm new to this online community. I do not have breast cancer by the grace of the almighty, but I do wish to read other people's stories and to give my support to everyone. May God bless you all and your families. You Will Survive! Please be positive... you must speak it and believe! : )

I would like to suggest you find a local support group in your area for this specific disease. Feel free to view my journal. I had something different, but cancer is cancer. You need the support. email me anytime: suejacobsen@msn.com

I was just dx'd with IBC IV and start chemo on 12/26. If you'd like to stay in touch with me to see my progress I would be happy to keep you informed. I have an oncologist who is considered one the best in the Phoenix area. I am very positive.

I am so sorry about your mom. I had the regular lobular and ductile (2 in one) stage II-III they werent sure which and doing ok now. Keep up the chemo. Watch her diet. Give her lots of good healthy things to eat. Go to the cancer clinics and ask questions. Hang in there and pray for good decisions and strength. Your friend, Sue
