When I went to a breast cancer conference in Washington DC last year, I sat next to and spoke at length with a 28 year IBC survivor. SHe actually had it twice but the last time was 28 years ago. She is a strong exuberant woman very active in a support group in West NJ near philly. I know it's a very difficult diagnosis but not without hope either! Her doctors do need to be aggressive and if one chemo doesn't work, they need to switch to another.
