One more week

Just got back from the radiation oncologist and he wants me to have a post op mammogram to be sure there is nothing that was not seen previously. I will go for that appointment next week and start radiation on the 24th. I am so thankful for my wonderfully through heathcare providers and all the nice people at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Kathleen good luck on Friday. I'll be thinking about you. I felt much better once I met with my medical oncologist although I too was nervouse leading up to the appointment. He equated himself to the quarterback for my healthcare team. He basically coordinates the players in my game plan and makes the recommendations on my plan of action. I know what you mean about missing some food. I actually had turkey sausage today for breakfast in an effort to curb my red meat intake. It was pretty good but not as good as the real deal. Oh well. Maybe we could toast with sparkling grape juice =)

I would toast a glass of champane for all the great healthcare workers that have taken care of me also, but all I have these days is GreenTea.Oh, and some grape juice. If is not an antioxident my hubby does not buy it. I miss my diet pepsi! Hope you mammo comes out fine,and it will. I'm nervous about my medical oncologist appointment friday.
