I'm writing a persuasion essay for english. I had to choose a charity to do and i chose NBCF. i have most of my research done already but i don't rally have first hand experience. my Grandmother had breast cancer but it wasn't horrible. it was still emotional for my family. i would really like to know first hand how it feels to know you have breast cancer. i hope that maybe it would help me to understand why i support this foundation. the more emotion the better i think i may do on my essay.

Some women face the impossible...
An intermal battle for life that connects them
With strength they never knew they had...
An opportunity to reach further
Than they ever dreamed possible.
With the heart of a true survivor,
She sets the course of her journey.
Expanding her horizons
To share the knowledge of her quest
With those around her....
Helping them on their journey,
Teaching early detection through self-awareness
Fostering prevention though education.
But most of all, she serves as a shinging example
of how to survive.
Her constant prayer...
A cure in her lifetime.
For herself, her daughters and her friends
She wears a pink ribbon!

You support this for all of them and for yourself. Not for the horrible storys we can tell you. I hope for your sack you NEVER know what it is like to feel first hand what breast cancer is. And the reason you support this is for your grandmother. Maybe your mother-your self and oneday your children. There are so many people out there touched in one way with a person who has had breast cancer- that should be what you put in your essay. Here is a poem witten for pink ribbon girls...
