surgery date quickly approaching

on 2/22/2008 at 8:06 pm in Tell Your Story
As the date for my bilateral mastectomy comes closer, I am about ready to jump out of my skin. Feb. 26th is the big day....I would just love to fast forward to the summer and have all this behind me. Since being diagnosed in July 07, I'm still waiting to wake up from this horrible nightmare!!! At least chemo is behind me....what a relief!!! Never thought it would end!

I am so glad to have been introduced to this site by my bc sister....thanks Donna! We should not have to go through any of this by ourselves! Any one out there having surgery soon, please let me know and we can try and help each other through it. Good Luck to all that are preparing for surgery and also to those that are in the process of treatment.

Looking forward to any suggestions or comments you may have!!!

Hi Jeanette, I recently had my bilateral, Feb 13th. Any question I can answer, please contact me. I was diagonsed July 5, 2007 and understand your nightmare. I realize that we are all stronger than we think, but our minds wander so much it makes us crazy. The day before my surgery, I went to the Spa with my good friend, and pampered myself. I am so glad I did it because I didn't spend the whole day worrying. Good luck to you, and I will keep you in my prayers!

Our Souls are connected .. I have all the faith in the world in you .. Look at me I did it and you know I'm the Psycho Queen .. I'll be there every moment for you .. Just let me know what you need at any time you know I'm not too far .. I don't want to step on any toes .. so if you need space or anything .. my shoulder or whatever is yours .. we were introduced to each other for a reason .. and the angel that introduced us knew what she was doing ..
Everyone fighting this BC Beast should be as lucky as I to have you! Your going to be just fine .. God will be holding your hand threw this surgery as he does with all of us!
Hang in there Sister,
Love, Donna
