Last year my doctor ordered a Dexa scan shortly after prescribing arimidex. The scan was -2.0 which is when they usually give you meds to prevent bone loss. My doctor thought it would be best to wait a year, using it as a baseline. Yesterday I had another scan and it was -2.6. At -2.5 you have osteoporosis. Basically I have loss 10 years worth of bone mass in a single year. So the bone specialist perscribed Fosamax.
Has anyone else used this drug?

He's not a quack--or against meds just believes in more judicious usage. You can call and speak to him but you may find some answers right on his website.
Best wishesI've been reading some negative things about fosamax so if it were me, I'd look into something called strontium and vitamin D. Look up dr ronald hoffman a well renowned WOR radio and NYC practicing doctor and nutritionist.
