Today was a much better day than earlier this week. Just telling everyone was hard and very emotional. My son (he is an only child) is taking this news very hard, but he is a strong man and calls me daily to give me support.
I am so blessed to have so many friends and family members supporting me during this stressful time.
Phil is my rock and his quiet presence gives me strength to keep going, taking one step at a time.

August 24th This was not a great day, just felt blue and disoriented. I received a daily e-mail from Kim Nowak and there was a short film that helped to left my spirits. Made the decision on the date for my surgey, September 4 @3:30 PM. My reconstructive surgery will be in October, there were scheduling conflicts.

August 26th Today I am going to church, I gain so much when I am around "God's" children. I just want to be my happy self, but find it hard to to get there. When I focus on others and preparing for my surgery and the positive outcome and getting this out of me I feel some what better.
