About Me

I live in South Georgia. I am a mental health and substance abuse therapist at a local hospital. I am single and don't have any children, but have a 12 year old nephew that I love dearly and spend a lot of time with. I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. I have a very dear friend that was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. We have been best friends since childhood, but I let time and other obligations separate us over the years, although we only live probably around 16 miles apart. When she was diagnosed with her cancer, it scared me so badly and broke my heart!! Although we had been apart for many years, this really emotionally effected me. You never think someone you love and care about could have something so drastic happen to them. I guess I took things for granted that it happens to other people, not someone you know! We have rekindled our friendship and I will be with her through all of this. I will never let anything come between us again. She is such a terrific person!! I admire the strength and courage she has shown through this. Don't get me wrong, this is very difficult for her and I'm sure she doesn't always let her feelings and thoughts show, but I really admire her! She has faith in God and herself! She is going to be a survivor!!
