I thought I would take the time to discuss why I am here in the MyNBCF Community. I guess you could call me the "MyNBCF Moderator" but I really do more than that. I have coordinated the website strategy, design & development for NBCF since last October. My role here is to make sure everything is working properly and to make MyNBCF the best it can be.

I do not know anyone close to me who has struggled with breast cancer per se, but my uncle passed of colon cancer and I know the extent of hardship and sadness that one feels for a loved one having to go through it all. He tried so hard to defeat it. He was a shell of a man when it all ended. I could not even recognize him.

This is why I support NBCF so much for their cause - to increase awareness & early detection. These things are so important for recovery. We are hoping that MyNBCF will become a hub of awareness & early detection, as well as a place for breast cancer patients, survivors, and supporters to find hope and support.
