About Me

Before being diagnosed with Breast Cancer I had recently survived a near fatal motorcycle accident where I lost my left leg below the knee. Strangely enough, loosing my leg prepared me for the loss of my breast. But what it did not prepare me for was the thought of living with cancer. I enjoy life to the fullest, hide most my fears, and put up a good front most of the time.
When I recovered from my injuries I joined the ACA, Amputee Coalition of America, and took a class to become a peer visitor. I believe that support from people who have been through what you have is immeasurable. I am hoping to find support to move forward and perhaps help others in that capacity also.
