Login or Register now!So, your plan is first talk to your oncologist and see if your blood counts are OK, if not that could be the main problem, two, go talk to you teachers at school and see if they can help and three, stay positive each treatment gets you closer to being done and once you get past this treatment the rest is not so difficult.
Also, if you were thin before treatment you will be thin again. The weight gain is temporary and you will get back to normal once everything is out of your system. I lost my puffiness in 2/3 months after treatment. I also drink a lot of water, take a probiotic everyday and eat very healthy most of the time.
Keep your chin up, you will get thru this.
Ruthie Are your blood counts off? When your white count drops to low, sleeplessness and confusion can occur. Have they been giving you an injection the day after chemo to keep your white count up? When my my red count dropped I became very restless and could not sleep. The shot fixed that. Definitely do not stop treatment. What good will your education be if you are not here to use it? You need to go to the school and talk your advisor, then each individual professor if you have to and explain your situation. One they may be able to give you a little room with taking the test, two, it may help to take the test closer to your nest treatment, I felt relatively good the day or two before the next treatment. How often do you go, every other week or every three? If it is every other maybe they could back off and do treatment every three weeks, this is a little easier on your body.
