It is so important to not only raise money for breast cancer but to also raise awareness. The more people who know about this disease and what they can do now to help, the more likely we are to find a cure in our lifetime.

A new member, recently asked about fundraising ideas to do at her school. Here are some ideas I found on the web:

- Host a house party, a tea party or a picnic

- Host a health and wellness day at your local workout or fitness club

- Find a retailer or restaurant owner in your area, who will donate a percentage of their sales to National Breast Cancer Foundation

- Host a walking or running event where teams can raise money together

- Host a yoga in the park event

- Host a fashion show, its not hard to get local retailers to donate clothes for a few hours for a good cause

- Try fun activities such as bowling, skating, dancing or an outing to a local sporting event
