2 weeks ago, my mother called to tell me her results from her Mammogram came back and there appeared to be a "Malignant" tumor in her right breast. Immediately, she made her an appointment for a surgeon. Today will be our 1st meeting with the surgeon. I am feeling very optimistic about this whole process. Also- I know I have to be. My mother is very emotional ( as she should be) and my sister is as well. My mom and sister will not be able to get past the emotions and listen. I know and accept that this will be my job. To be the eyes and ears. I wouldn't have it any other way. I better get a shower and gets the kids ready for school. Her appointment is in the afternoon.
