Boca Raton Regional Hospital: Christine E. Lynn Women's Health & Wellness Institute
Boca Raton Regional Hospital's Center for Breast Care performs more than 90,000 procedures annually to detect and diagnose breast cancer, and is recognized for advanced diagnostic techniques as well as ground-breaking research in breast cancer imaging and high-risk genetic screening. This state-of-the-art technology is also offered off-site through the Kathryn Kristein Pressel MammonVan. Almost every day, the MammoVan visits Palm Beach County communities to provide services to patients who do not have transportation to the Women’s Institute. Through the use of accessible and innovative technology, more women are being screened each year, and smaller, more curable breast cancers are being found earlier than ever before.
"The National Breast Cancer Foundation Grant has increased access for underinsured or underserved patients to receive early detection [services]. NBCF allows the underserved population access to early detection where this population may have previously gone undiagnosed. Through our continued relationship with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, we will impact the care of men and women in need to provide optimal breast services."
