Hackensack University Medical Center
Founded in 1888 with just 12 beds, Hackensack University Medical Center (UMC) was Bergen County's first hospital. More than a century later, this nonprofit, teaching, and research hospital has grown to become the largest provider of inpatient and outpatient services in New Jersey. For five consecutive years, HealthGrades America has named UMC as one of its 50 Best Hospitals, and this year was ranked by U.S. News & World Report in the top 50 Best Hospitals for cancer – the only cancer center in the state with this important recognition.
"HUMC is pleased to partner with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. in your National Mammography Program whose purpose is to help provide screening and diagnostic mammograms for women who have no insurance or the exorbitant cost of having a mammogram prevents them from seeking this important service. HUMC is fortunate to have the support of such a wonderful organization."
Robert L. Torre, Executive Vice President & C.O.O.
