Mad River Community Hospital

Mad River Community Hospital is a small acute care community hospital providing services for the families and residents of Humboldt County, CA. The hospital partners with The Humboldt Community Breast Health Project (HCBHP) to provide a complete continuum of care for breast care patients. The collaborative work of both entities ensures each patient’s medical, emotional, and practical needs are met through services including patient navigation, support groups, information specialists and an extensive resource library.

"The partnership between the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Mad River Community Hospital continues to provide access to quality women’s services for breast health. The grant funding has allowed us to bring diagnostic early breast cancer detection to a segment of the population whom would have no other alternative."
