Presbyterian Breast Center
Over one hundred years ago, Presbyterian Hospital opened as a 20-bed medical facility located in a cramped hotel in what is now uptown Charlotte. Today, the city’s oldest hospital has become a major regional healthcare institution, repeatedly named as one of Charlotte’s most preferred hospitals. Presbyterian’s Cancer Center reinforces the hospital’s notable reputation by offering the most advanced diagnostic imaging, the latest treatment options, cancer wellness and rehabilitation programs.
"Presbyterian's Cancer Center is excited to partner with the National Breast Cancer Foundation to provide breast health services and education to women in our community. As a result of this partnership, we were able to offer 176 screening mammograms, as well as diagnostic testing for an additional 140 uninsured women ages 40 – 49 this past year alone. It is our goal to make mammography services available to all women, especially those who are hesitant due to lack of funds or insurance. We, like the NBCF, want to find breast cancer early when it is most easily treated and so we are grateful to the NBCF for its generous financial support.”
