St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital
St.Vincent Health is one of the largest and most comprehensive health care systems in Indiana. It encompasses 20 hospital facilities throughout central Indiana, and was identified in the Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals: 15 Top Health Systems study as one of the best health systems in the nation. The faith-based group of hospitals is the only one in Indiana and the Midwest to be honored in the large health system group. With support from the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the St. Vincent Breast Center is able to provide screening and diagnostic mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women at three locations throughout the Indianapolis area. The partnership has also enabled the Center to offer patient navigator services providing breast cancer patients with clinical support, educational resources, transportation and child care needs as they journey from diagnosis to recovery.
"Thanks to the generosity of the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s National Mammography Program, we have been able to provide more than 250 screening and diagnostic procedures during the first six months of this year to women who might not have otherwise received this valuable screening procedure. This funding enables us to reach into communities of need to deliver this service in a very meaningful way. We are extremely grateful for that opportunity."
