The Sue A. de Mille Women’s Diagnostic Center at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano (Texas Health Plano) is a Certified Participant with the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers (NQMBC™) and it is also designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The Breast Center at Texas Health Plano is uniquely qualified to meet the needs of low-income women and women lacking access to care through a combination of internal and external resources. The Breast Center has developed a network of partners in the Collin County service area to provide a continuum of breast health services for low-income and uninsured women through its relationship with local physicians, The Bridge Breast Network, and Collin County Adult Clinic. The Texas Health Wellness for Life Mobile Health Program also partners with the Breast Center at Texas Health Plano to offer screening mammograms in the community to low-income women.
“The Sue A. de Mille Women’s Diagnostic Center is excited to collaborate with National Breast Cancer Foundation and the opportunity to deepen our commitment to serve the women of the Collin County community. This grant will permit women who could not otherwise afford it to receive potentially life-saving mammograms and diagnostic breast care. With limitations on time and financial resources, we sometimes neglect our own health. Add on being a wife and mother, it’s not uncommon for some women to put the needs of loved ones before their own.” – Shannon Gutierrez, Director of Radiology and Medical Imaging, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano
Donations are always appreciated, but there are lots of great ways to get involved.
