September 13, 2013 – METTER, GA – Hendrix Produce, Inc. has teamed up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) for a cause-marketing program involving sweet onions during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

“We’re really honored to partner with NBCF”, said Kevin Hendrix, Vice President.  “While we enjoy giving back locally – and even regionally – we’ve wanted to branch out on a more national level for some time”.  Hendrix went on to say, “We conducted research to determine which of the many breast cancer charities would be best to work with and NBCF has proven to be one to the top ranked.  For each of the past nine years, NBCF has earned a four-star rating by Charity Navigator.  Also impressive is that 86% of funds go back to their programs”, said Hendrix.  “The timing for this partnership couldn’t be better.  We have redesigned packaging to incorporate NBCF’s logo and pink ribbon for next month’s campaign.”
