October 28, 2014 – Houston, TX – Pinot’s Palette, the fast-growing paint-and-sip franchise known for providing guests with an entertaining evening of art and wine, will host its first-ever national fundraising event Friday, Nov. 7 benefitting the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (NBCF).

During the evening event, all Pinot’s Palette studios nationwide will donate a minimum of $15 per seat reservation to NBCF. Several Pinot’s Palette studios plan to donate even more contributions to NBCF.

Pinot’s Palette President and Co-Founder Charles Willis says the partnership with NBCF is just one more way the company is giving back to the community through its “Painting It Forward” program.

“When planning this national fundraising effort, it was an easy decision on which cause it needed to be,” said Charles Willis, Co-Founder and President of Pinot’s Palette. “This is our demographic. Whether it’s women inside our franchise network or the thousands of people our studios serve across the country, we see and hear stories of breast cancer patients and breast cancer survivors. We were ready to use the reach and influence of Pinot’s Palette to help a great cause.”

Willis says the partnership also hits home for many of the company’s women franchisees who are breast cancer survivors or are currently battling the disease that affects an estimated 220,000 women in the U.S. every year.

One of those survivors is franchisee Colleen Carlee, of Montclair, N.J., who was in the process of opening her studio when she was diagnosed.

“I was so happy to hear this was a program to benefit breast cancer awareness,” said Carlee, who is now cancer free and running one of the chain’s most successful studios. “Huge strides have been made, but there is still such a long way to go. And every dollar we can raise puts us one step closer to finding a cure.”
