For more than 50 years, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center (MBPCC) has worked relentlessly on behalf of our patients and their loved ones to improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer (mission). Since its inception, the goal of MBPCC has been to provide the highest quality cancer treatment and compassionate support to all patients and their families. This commitment, created by the Center’s founders, has been generously supported year after year by the local community.
MBPCC provides the highest quality treatment, educational programs, screenings, and clinical trials to residents throughout a 36-parish service area in Louisiana and four counties in south western Mississippi (Franklin, Adams, Wilkinson, and Jefferson). Through our collaborative work, we provide the critical resources necessary for the fight against cancer to all those in need. We serve all individuals diagnosed with cancer regardless of their ability to pay. Across our network, we see approximately 20,000 patients annually.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive care for individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, our program focuses on delivering the highest standards of treatment, support, and education. With the help of this grant funding, we aim to expand access to our Navigation program and internal and external resources that provide critical support for patients and families. This investment will not only improve outcomes by ensuring personalized care, but it will also strengthen our community’s resilience by reducing barriers to care- particularly among underserved populations. With this support,
we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by breast cancer.” —Maeghan Jacob, Director of Navigation and Support Services
Donations are always appreciated, but there are lots of great ways to get involved.
