Patient Relief Fund

The Medical University of South Carolina is the state’s only comprehensive academic health system and a leading provider of cancer care through its Hollings Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center. Our Breast Cancer Program offers multidisciplinary care that integrates advanced diagnostics, surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation therapy, and genetic counseling. We serve a diverse patient population across South Carolina, including rural and medically underserved communities, where barriers such as transportation, food insecurity, and financial hardship are prevalent. MUSC prioritizes patient-centered care through evidence-based treatment plans, robust patient navigation services, and community outreach initiatives, including mobile health units that deliver screening and education across the state. Our mission is to reduce the burden of breast cancer by improving access to high-quality care and addressing social determinants of health that impact treatment adherence and outcomes.

Our breast health program is built around early detection, compassionate care, and equitable access for every patient who walks through our doors. Partnering with National Breast Cancer Foundation will allow us to extend our support even further, ensuring that individuals facing a diagnosis never feel alone. This collaboration will strengthen our ability to provide vital support services to those who need them most. Together, we will be able to offer resources, comfort, and hope that truly make a difference in the lives of the patients we serve.
