Patient Navigation Patient Relief Fund

Our high standard of care comes from decades of research, cancer treatment experience and cancer care technological superiority. As cancer survival rates increase, our team remains focused on providing the most advanced and comprehensive cancer care to our patients.

The Oncology Navigation Team is staffed by four oncology-certified nurses and one oncology-certified social worker, who understand both the technical and emotional aspects of the cancer journey. Together with members of the multidisciplinary care team, the navigators help connect patients and their families with resources within the Cancer Center, at UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, and in the community. Their goal is to educate and support patients and families throughout every step of their cancer journey.

“At John Stoddard Cancer Center, our comprehensive approach to cancer care means we have the latest technology for detection, multidisciplinary approach to treatment and support services, such as our Navigator Program, to ensure patients’ unique needs are met. The National Breast Cancer Foundation’s support ensures we can continue to grow and advance our Navigator Program to positively impact patients with breast cancer.” — Sarah Zeidler, Executive Director
