Patient Navigation

Through a network of clinics/hospitals/health systems located across Louisiana, the Louisiana Breast & Cervical Health Program (LBCHP) provides no-cost breast and cervical cancer screening, diagnostic and patient navigation services to low-income, uninsured women across Louisiana. LBCHP promotes access to timely breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services while targeting areas and populations disparately impacted by breast and cervical cancer through:

  • Direct Screening and Patient Navigation
  • Clinical Quality Improvement Interventions
  • Outreach and Marketing

“Having the Louisiana Breast & Cervical Health Program and Denise Cox at UMC is a tremendous benefit to our patients. Denise’s compassionate and thorough navigation support helps to ensure that medically underserved patients have access to screenings and timely diagnostic follow-up. We look forward to continuing our partnership with LBCHP and reaching more women who can benefit from these valuable services.” — Charlotte Parent, RN, MCHM, Vice President of Business Development
