Learn more about the different types of corporate partnerships we offer:
Contributing Partnerships
Contributing Partners may elect to raise funds in a number of ways including fundraising, direct contributions, gift-in-kind, employee matching, point-of-sale customer contributions and more.
With a dedicated NBCF success manager, Contributing Partners receive personalized support and assistance with their respective campaign(s).
Along with a $3,000 minimum annual contribution commitment comes the option to use NBCF’s logo and registered trademarks as part of their marketing and/or supporting products.
It is important to note that while contributed funds may be raised in part by selling specific products, NBCF Contributing Partners are not allowed (per IRS guidelines) to market this to consumers. A simple “statement of support” must be sufficient for their campaign, otherwise a Cause-Marketing Partnership might be the more appropriate option.
Examples of Contributing Partnerships:
- Collection box at register
- Round up donations through shopping cart or point-of-sale system
- Gift-in-kind donation of product to be included in NBCF HOPE Kits

Cause-Marketing Partnerships
Cause-Marketing Partners may elect to raise funds in a variety of ways including fundraising, direct contributions, gift-in-kind, employee matching, point-of-sale customer contributions, and more. However, Cause-Marketing Partners also have the ability to sell products and/or services supporting NBCF and the option to market this fact to their customers.
This partnership level requires a $15,000 minimum annual contribution commitment, as it requires additional compliance and reporting efforts to ensure all parties abide by IRS cause-marketing related guidelines.
Cause-Marketing Partners are assigned a dedicated NBCF success manager to provide personalized support and assistance. They can use NBCF’s logo and registered trademarks as part of their marketing and/or supporting products, and have the option to promote and market a specific product/sales-related statement of support (i.e. “##% of all sales of ABC products/services in 2020 will be donated to NBCF”)
Examples of Cause-Marketing Partnerships:
- Royalty payment of $25 for each new consumer enrollee in Company’s Rewards Program during promotion period
- Company donated $2 per item sold during specific event or timeframe

Why is there a minimum annual commitment?
NBCF is committed to being excellent stewards of every dollar gifted to us. IRS and state guidelines associated with corporate charitable giving require specific oversight and reporting, adding expense to each partnership. In order to ensure our corporate partnerships are not costing more to administer than the funding they provide, we require minimum annual contribution levels accordingly.
