For over a century, Baptist Health Medical Center has provided Arkansas residents with high-quality, holistic patient care, and it is one of the state’s leading hospitals in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Committed to helping heal the whole patient, Baptist Health offers a variety of programs which address the health each woman’s mind, body, and soul. The Nurse Navigator Program, made possible through funding from the National Breast Cancer Foundation, provides recently-diagnosed patients with step-by-step guidance along the road to recovery. Baptist Health’s Nurse Navigators deliver educational information, detailed treatment options, and one-on-one emotional support to over 200 breast cancer patients each year.
“This program has improved communication with our patients. With the Navigator’s ability to give emotional and educational support, patients are given an added reassurance that their health care is planned and coordinated.” – Naomi Walls, RN, Director, Women’s and Children’s Services
Donations are always appreciated, but there are lots of great ways to get involved.
