The Breast Care Center at St. Luke’s offers highly specialized services for women including physical examinations, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, sentinel node biopsy, fine needle aspiration biopsy, core biopsy, supportive counseling, educational materials and instruction in breast self-exam. Services are provided at 5 locations, including St. Luke’s Mobile Mammography Unit, throughout St. Louis and Charles counties.
“When women, particularly those who are uninsured or underinsured, are unable to have access to life-saving mammograms and ultrasounds due to unforeseen or uncontrollable factors, the consequences are substantial. That is why we are extremely grateful for the generous donation given to us by the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Through these funds, our nationally-recognized Breast Care Center is able to help those who would have not otherwise been screened or diagnosed. And as we all know, early detection saves lives. We extend our appreciation and the gratitude of dozens of women who this remarkable program has helped.” – Gary Olsen, President and CEO
Donations are always appreciated, but there are lots of great ways to get involved.
