New York, October 1, 2019 – Aquatalia, the luxury lifestyle brand founded in 1994, is pleased to announce the launch of its give-back partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (NBCF), one of the most recognized and respected breast cancer charities in the world. From October 1 through October 31, 2019, Aquatalia will donate a portion of proceeds that it generates from the sale of a limited-edition footwear capsule collection to NBCF to help the nonprofit further aid and provide hope to those affected by breast cancer.

The product assortment Aquatalia designed to celebrate and promote breast cancer awareness consists of five designs done in a dusty rose suede, a subtle nod to the pink hue of the ribbon that commonly represents awareness of the disease. From a functional block heel to an easy-to-wear slip-on, each style in the footwear capsule exudes elegance while remaining durable with the use of Aquatalia’s signature stain-resistant technology. Aquatalia will donate 10 percent of the proceeds from each pair of shoes purchased from the limited-edition capsule in October to NBCF.

“We are proud to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation by donating a portion of sales from this special capsule collection to the foundation’s efforts,” said Jimmy Gabriel, President of Wholesale Footwear North America at Global Brands Group, which owns the Aquatalia brand. “One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and these funds raised will help the foundation continue to provide assistance and hope to those affected by the disease through early detection, education and support services.”

NBCF has received the highest rating, 4 stars, by Charity Navigator, America’s premier charity evaluator, for 14 years. The organization supports people around the world by providing services such as education about the disease and free mammograms to those in need. NBCF emphasizes early detection and offers free innovative programs to those facing breast cancer. Together with NBCF, Aquatalia aims to amplify awareness of the disease so that women can confidently lead healthy lives.

“It is because of partners like Aquatalia that we are able to achieve our mission of Helping Women Now®,” said Danae Johnson, Vice President of Development at NBCF. “By offering this limited-edition dusty rose suede capsule collection, Aquatalia is not only setting the standard in innovative fine footwear, but also in empowering women to be proactive about their health.”

The five styles in Aquatalia’s capsule collection retail for $195 to $495 and are now available for sale on Aquatalia will host a two-day shopping event October 11–12 at its flagship store in New York City, where breast cancer survivor and NBCF Community Ambassador Jaclyn Alterwein will share her story with guests and shoppers for a few hours each day.
