FRISCO, TX – July 20, 2021 – Dallas Business Journal (DBJ) has named National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) Chief Financial Officer, Rebecca Buell, to their 2021 40 Under 40 class. This prestigious designation is bestowed upon individuals who are making a difference at their workplace, excelling in their current role, and making valuable contributions to their organization. In addition, they are celebrated for being decision makers and leaders in their organization and community.

“This honor represents so many people who have advocated and supported me throughout my career in nonprofit,” said Buell. “Seeing my talents and strengths and providing the space for me to run, make mistakes, and bring new ideas to the floor has enabled experiences and opportunities I didn’t imagine getting the chance to have so early on in my work.”

Buell is celebrating 10 years at NBCF and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer where she oversees Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Risk Management & Compliance, IT, and internal business operations as it relates to project management and strategic planning.

“Rebecca is the blueprint for any young professional to follow if they want to become a great leader. Her tenacity is only outmatched by her compassion,” said Kevin Hail, NBCF President & COO. “She does the hard work and leads by example and that’s why others are proud to follow her.”

DBJ 40 Under 40 honorees will be recognized during an awards event and will be featured in a print and digital publication following the event.
