March 31, 2011 – A new product has been launched from a Cleveland, Ohio based company to help the fight against breast cancer.  Hope Is Growing, Llc. has developed the perfect gifts of thoughtfulness and inspiration for those who have been recently diagnosed or continue to battle this and other diseases.

Teaming up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (NBCF), Hope Is Growing has introduced 8 unique gardening kits that promote the importance of early detection.  These unique kits contain all supplies to start and grow beautiful, inspirational gardens.  According to a study performed by Rutgers University, flowers induce a positive emotion on people. It also found that women who received flowers responded with a smile. “What a great gift for anyone that has been diagnosed with cancer or a life threatening illness” said Stacy Pandy, Executive Director and Developer.

In 2006, 191,410 women were diagnosed with breast cancer. Of those diagnosed, more than 40,000 of them died.  Source: U.S. Cancer Statistics Working Group. United States Cancer Statistics: 1999-2006.

Choose from the “Survivor Garden” (an all pink flower garden that includes pink forget-me-nots); others include a prayer garden, flowers of hope, salsa, hummingbird, butterfly, herb and a healthy vegetable garden.  “We are donating 10% of our sales to the NBCF.  It’s a win, win for everyone” said Stacy Pandy.

“This little burst of sunshine lets the recipient know that hope is growing”.
