Through our HOPE Kits, we provide a tangible expression of hope, encouragement, and love to those whose lives have been altered in a moment. Each HOPE Kit* is filled with thoughtful items known to comfort and soothe some of the side effects of cancer treatment, while bringing hope to a woman when she needs it most.

Mammograms
The early detection of breast cancer is critical to survival. When detected in the early stages, the breast cancer survival rate is 99%. But many women face financial barriers when it comes to receiving timely screenings and diagnoses.

Support Groups
Having the support of others who are on a similar journey is an important part of breast cancer treatment and survivorship. NBCF patient navigators help guide patients through and around barriers in the complex cancer care system, such as cost, fear, and misinformation, ensuring timely diagnosis, treatment, and support. By helping women navigate the healthcare system, patient navigators provide women with help and hope when they need it most.

Educational Resources
Studies have shown that individuals who are uninformed about their breast health are less likely to take advantage of early detection services, like mammograms. NBCF provides vital breast health resources to those in need, empowering them to be more proactive about their breast health and understand the resources available to them, including NBCF’s free eBook library.

Latina Initiative
Latinas in the U.S. face unique barriers to care, including limited access to quality care, language barriers, and cultural stigma surrounding breast health. These barriers often contribute to later diagnoses and higher breast cancer mortality rates in this community. The NBCF Latina Initiative works to remove language and cultural barriers to breast care for Latinas living in the U.S.

Military Patient Relief Fund
Military women are up to 40% more likely to develop breast cancer than civilians, and over 1 million veterans live below the poverty level and cannot afford the expense of a cancer diagnosis. The NBCF Military Patient Relief Fund helps bridge critical financial gaps for military service members to ensure they receive the support they need when facing a diagnosis.
