Screening Isn’t Scary 2022
When diagnosed early, the 5-year relative survival rate for breast cancer is 99%. Routine screenings such as mammograms play a vital role in the early diagnosis—and successful treatment—of breast cancer. But there’s a problem.
Many people put off their screenings and mammograms, leading to more women being diagnosed at later stages of the disease. Why? Answers vary from financial concerns over the cost of screenings, to lack of breast health education information, and even fear of the unknown or not knowing what to expect.
For the past 30 years, NBCF has supported women by helping them get access to the education, screenings, and services they need. And now, NBCF needs your help to spread the word that Screening Isn’t Scary!
This October, join Game Pink in saying Screening Isn’t Scary by signing up to create your own charity stream and start fundraising today!
