How to Donate Stocks and Bonds

There are several ways to donate stocks and bonds, including online giving, electronic transfer, and physical delivery. See below for details on each option.

Online

You can donate stocks via our secure online platform using your smartphone or computer. Select the “Stock” option on the tool below to make your secure donation to NBCF.

Electronic Transfer

If you prefer to donate stocks or bonds through your financial advisor, the following information necessary to electronically transfer securities to our account:

After making your gift of stock, please tell us! Many stock gifts we receive do not include the names of our donors, and we want to be able to thank you for your gift. 

Send us an email at [email protected] and include:

  • Your name
  • Mailing address
  • Name of stock
  • Number of shares transferred

Upon receipt, your gift will be acknowledged for tax purposes.

Physical Delivery

If you hold securities in certificate form, you can also send us your gift by certified mail. Use two separate envelopes to complete your gift: In the first, place the unsigned stock certificate; in the other, include a signed stock power for each certificate. You can get these forms from your broker or bank.
