The Nebraska Medical Center
Formed in 1997 after combining the operations of University Hospital and Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital, Nebraska Medical Center (NMC) is Nebraska’s largest health-care facility. For twelve consecutive years, the National Research Corporation has presented NMC with the National Consumer Choice Award for the best quality health care in the region. Additionally, J.D. Power and Associates has designated the medical center as a Distinguished Hospital for Service Excellence for the sixth year in a row.
In 2011, Nebraska Medical Center partnered with the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Nursing to provide breast health services and education to underserved women in Nebraska. A mobile nurse unit travels throughout rural parts of the state to provide information, clinical breast exams and mammography referrals to women without access to these services through primary health care.
"Your commitment sustains our efforts to provide serious medicine and extraordinary care. Our healthcare professionals strive to meet the needs of every patient with an acute attention to detail that is personal and dignified. Through your donation, the hospital will continue to treat and heal patients while retaining and attracting the very best medical personnell."
